How is reading time calculated?

Reading time assumes an average silent reading speed of 200 words per minute and is rounded up to the nearest minute.

How are words, sentences, and paragraphs counted?

A word is any group of characters separated by whitespace. Sentences are counted by their ending punctuation (periods, exclamation marks, and question marks), and paragraphs are blocks of text separated by line breaks.

How many words should a blog post be for SEO?

There's no ideal word count, and Google has said length is not a ranking factor on its own. Write as much as it takes to fully answer the searcher's question. Comparing the length of top-ranking pages for your keyword is a more useful guide.

What character limits should I keep in mind?

Common limits include about 60 characters for title tags, 150–160 for meta descriptions, and 280 for posts on X. Use the character counts to stay within the limits of wherever your text will appear.
